Gegen 12 Uhr fuhren wir zum Waisenhaus, um mit Collins über unsere momentane Situation hier in Nairobi zu sprechen.
Das Ding ist, dass die Leute hier schnell in Panik verfallen und wir besorgt waren, dass wir nicht mehr aus dem Land kommen, nachdem die Schulen geschlossen wurden und es hieß, dass die Grenzen evtl. auch bald dicht gemacht werden würden.
Zum Mittagessen fuhren Mark, Peli, David und ich dann zu Galleria und sprachen über das Gespräch mit Collins, die aktuelle Situation und unsere Meinung dazu.
In den Nachrichten heute abend war zu lesen, dass die Grenzen für Flüge ins Land innerhalb der nächsten 48h geschlossen werden.
Später am Abend bekamen wir dann eine Email von Paul, in der stand, dass er unsere Flüge geändert hat und wir am 17. zurück in die UK fliegen werden. Pelis Schwester hat daraufhin auch den Flug für Peli geändert. Wir werden alle am Dienstag das Land verlassen und David fliegt schon morgen. Es fühlt sich unwirklich an so plötzlich abzureisen und wir sind alle sehr traurig, dass es so endet. #verrücktezeiten #gehtdieweltunter?
The fact is, that the people here panic easily and we were concerned that we could be stuck in the country, as they were already closing down the schools and threatening to close the borders down.
For lunch Mark, Peli, David and I went to Galleria and talked about our conversation with Collins, the situation and the thoughts we had about it.
We also read in the news tonight, that they're closing down the borders for every flight coming into Kenya within the next 48 hours. Later in the evening we got an email from Paul saying, that he changed our flights and we're all leaving at the 17th. Peli's sister then also changed the flight for Peli for the same day. So we're all leaving on Tuesday and David leaves tomorrow. It feels very surreal to leave so sudden and we're all sad that we have to say goodbye like this. #crazytimes #istheworldending?
